FIRST AID/CPR

Lifesaving Society of Canada Standard First Aid & CPR level C with AED

Certification is provided through the Lifesaving Society of Canada. A sixteen hour program; this course includes instruction on how to handle life threatening emergencies, how to perform two-rescuer and child/infant CPR and  proper administration of a wide range of important first aid skills and techniques.  Participants will also be instructed on proper use of an automated external defibrillator (AED). Certification is valid for three years.

Lifesaving Society of Canada Standard First Aid & CPR Re-Certification

Certification is provided through the Lifesaving Society of Canada. A one day, 8 hour recertification course designed to refresh the knowledge and skills delivered in the full standard first aid, CPR level C course. Registrants must have attained their full certification with the Lifesaving Society of Canada in order to qualify for this course.

Lifesaving Society of Canada Emergency First Aid - CPR B

Emergency First Aid is for people who want a general knowledge of first aid principles and the emergency treatment of injuries. Skills include: victim assessment, CPR, choking and what to do for external bleeding, heart attack, stroke wounds and burns. Includes CPR-B certification. Recognized by Ontario's Workplace Safety & Insurance Board.

The first aid program is not restricted to aquatic candidates. You can use the Lifesaving Society's first aid awards to train non-aquatic staff (camp, playground, maintenance, etc.) and the general public.

Prerequisite: None.
